If you or a loved one has taken the Type 2 diabetes drug Byetta, you may be at risk of developing deadly pancreatic disease. Byetta has been linked to dozens of cases of hemorrhagic pancreatitis and blamed for patient deaths and serious injuries. The Food and Drug Administration also has issued several warnings to Byetta users about the increased risks of taking the drug.
Type 2 diabetics who took Byetta and developed hemorrhagic pancreatitis or suffered other injuries may be eligible to receive financial compensation from the drug maker and other responsible parties for their medical bills, pain and suffering, and other damages. If a loved one has died as the result of Byetta injuries, you and your relatives may have rights to financial damages for the wrongful death of your loved one.
